Good pub with 5 star food hygiene rating. Did not eat this time on Sunday evening as they warned me there would be a one and a half hour wait before the food would be ready. This was because they were crowded and the nearby Wheatsheaf and Red Lion were not serving food on Sunday evening

Fajita & pint special offer on Monday for 8.49. Duty manager clueless. Charged me 11.49 for fajita & pint of Harveys Best because he said offer only applied to John Smiths beer. Eventually let me have fajita and Harveys for 8.49 as he had already poured the pint. Food served quickly, tasted nice and was good value for money.

We waited 40 mins for our food to arrive and when we saw other people eating we queried it. They had lost our food order. I spoke to the manager but she wasn't a bit interested and told me to wait there. She never returned. On a previous time we had to send food back to the kitchen because it was so awful (never done that anywhere before). This is just a glorified McDonalds

Pleasant pub with car park opposite hospital. I had Harveys Best Bitter. Food service was a bit slow but was very good value.

I have lived in Eastbourne for 10 years and this was my first visit. Young, friendly and welcoming staff. Clean with a good mix of people. Menu was varied and reasonable. I will certainly be back - just over the road from the town hospital.

This pub is good for food and very reasonably priced and was in the perfect location for celebration drinks when my daughter was born.

This pub has all the ambience of a rest home. It is more like a Harvester than a pub. Bring back the old Rodmill !!!

I was very impressed with this pub. I visited it for lunch one day with my husband and granddaughter and I then contacted Gary the Manager before my 60th birthday and explained that there would be 12 of us on a Tuesday evening. He gave me menus and asked if I could let him know what everyone wanted for starters, mains and desserts and he would ensure that everyone's meals came out at the same time. He even telephoned me before to check what veg they wanted with their main meals and how they would like their steaks etc. cooked. When we went for our meal, they had laid the tables up especially for us and pushed tables together so that we could all sit together. The food and the service were excellent and terrific value for money. We would have no hesitation in visiting again.

Gone down hill a bit since the new management took over. Can't get the mulled wine machine working properly ie 3.55 for a small luke warm glass of it and that took three mebers of staff to get to that stage!

Any pub that has Harveys Best on tap is OK by me.
