We visited the Half Moon recently and had a warm welcome. Would definately go back again and again and again...........

The best pub out of 11 we visited in Bedfordshire last Saturday. Whilst it was fairly quiet (they were soon to close for the afternoon), the barman/landlord was extremely friendly and professional. Wells Eagle IPA, Bombardier and Courage Best were on offer. We also had a very enjoyable game of darts.

Fantastic pub, with friendly regulars of all ages, good food, local interest and the landlord is very welcoming. Great tasting ale and if you get bored there are darts, dominos and a skittles table.

Good locals pub that made us feel very welcome on a number of visits while staying nearby. Good beer and also does lunchtime food. Only open for a few hours at lunchtime and closes for the afternoon even on busy sunny weekend days

Tasty good-value mid-week lunches, first class Eagle Bitter. Darts & Skittles, dominoes, cards etc. Large permanent Smoking area, childrens playground with swings etc. and beautifully kept garden. Ample car park.

Hey, Jules, we're not that boisterous! But yes, it is definitely a true community pub, and the discos and karaokes are always alot of fun. What a bunch of nutters though!

I am one of the local mentioned above, so I suppose I will be biased! However, one of the reasons I have become a local here is the diverse nature of the people who drink here. Ages range from the kids of locals who come for the activities that are regularly arranged, to some gents and ladies who have reached the age where they no longer have to work! We all get on, and everyone looks after each other. It is a TRUE community pub. Ladies you can feel quite safe coming in here on your own, the lounge bar will always welcome you with no threatening behavour - the lads and lasses in the public bar are a bit more boystrous than those of us who frequent the lounge, but still everyone is considerate. We have quizzes every Sunday - one week normal quiz run by Roger the landlord, and one week bingo quiz (come along and see how this works) run by my goodself. I think it is one of the best pubs around (and believe me I've been in a few!). You are most likely to get a comment of welcome, or walk in to peals of laughter (not at you) at some discussion taking place around the bar, than that horrible silence you get when the whole place shuts up and turns to look at you when you walk in! Come along and give us a go, oh and Roger keeps the best IPA and Bombardier anywhere.

Don't judge this book (although it's a pub) by it's cover! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but step inside and you'll be pleased you did. It's a smashing place to spend half an hour or indeed an entire evening, with quality service from a top landlord and a bunch of locals that'll put a smile on any face! The only thing this place does by halves is their name! (and a half pint, if you ask nicely!)

The Half Moon is a lovely little pub, I would definitely recommend it! They also have an excellent netball team :P
