Upmarket restaurant on quite a dangerous bend. A couple of real ales are served - Grainstore Olive Ale (believed to be Cooking) & Dancing Duck Dcuk were on. Food looked good and service was very professional. But, I think I was the only one drinking. Drinks are quite pricey.

A high quality pub/restaurant conveniently situated off the A1. Truly excellent food prepared with great skill, and the house beer from Grainstore in Oakham (formerly Olive Oil) is very tasty.

Been going here for 5-10 years on an occasional basis, and it has maintained a well-above-average standard. As other reviewers have said, not really a pub, rather a restaurant with a public bar. The food is modern English and normally very good, though has been once or twice a bit disappointing in terms of quantity or imagination. The beers (including Olive Oil) are very well kept - when I was last there, they served a brilliant Ossett Cherry Porter. The staff (bar and waiting) are friendly and helpful, and all round, this is worth knowing about for a night out from Grantham, Oakham or Stamford.

Remarkable. Again, not really a pub, but the quality of the food is excellent, the lunches are varied, you can have a sandwich for six pounds or you can have the tremendous value, but admittedly short on options, set lunch. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with the house beer called 'Olive Oil'. A true great for those travelling on the A1

This is not a pub but a decent restaurant with beer. On the pricey side but very good food. Booking for saturday lunch seems to be essential but we managed to sneek an open air table by arriving at 11:45.
