Everard's pub in a nice North Cambridgeshire village. There are a number of seating areas, including a small snug. It's clearly a popular place for eating. I think I was the only one in just for a drink. Everard's ales are Original, Tiger & Sunchaser. Brains The Rev James was the guest ale and to my pleasant surprise, they also had Old Rosie cider.

We went there on Saturday for dinner and the food is very cheap 9.95 for 2 courses. The pub itself lacks atmosphere and since it was redecorated 10 years or so ago it's lost all it's olde world charm and no landlord has been able to restore that since. The place needs a good investment, the furniture and decor is in keeping with a village hall. The food was average as expected for the price, the side salad had gone off and there was only Tiger on tap which was flat and not well kept. The 'Phoenix Nights' style advertising for cheap curry nights next to the bar was in keeping with the general ambience.Back in the nineties this pub had a very solid local reputation and its sad to see it not living up to it's once flourishing days. In summary the food is what you would expect for a very cheap price and quite edible (apart from side salad) the bar staff are friendly but the overall standards are at the bottom end of pub fare.

Having just moved from the Blue Bell at Glinton,I have been enioying the food for a good few years, and now they have moved to the Millstone Barnack,I have followed them, and now eat there regularly, and the food is just as good as ever.
The landlord Richard, and Cheryl are exellent hosts, and I believe that the locals cannot believe their luck having a pub with such great meals, and at such a bargain price.
Most of the staff from the Blue Bell moved with them, and they have now just about got things going good.

Bar staff could try a little harder in here. They're just a little too brash for my liking. New chef (who owns or manages the places - since it was part of the Snooty group)really trying with menu and quality of the food. Bar staff just letting him down.

Called in one quiet Sunday afternoon for a jar. Beer was well-kept and very tasty, and a good range from local/small brewers. Himself was very attentive (in a good way!) and seemed very proud of the food, which does have a good reputation. There is a large album of photos, press reports, etc which reflects very favourably on the pub and management. Pub itself is in the centre of Barnack, well-sited and easy to find. Interior looks "lived in". Well worth a visit, interior is nothing out of the ordinary though. Shall review food at a future date...
