It is a pub again. The Irish ladies who had been running The Black Dog are now here.No real ale.Only English style beer,John Smith's.Seriously high cholesterol chicken nuggets and chips. That is the menu.

Only part of the building is in use,the old saloon bar,the rest of it is locked up.I had forgotten how large the 1950s build pubs were. They were big and used to be full.

Does this still qualify as a pub? It looks more like the Shimla Indian Restaurant from the outside.

Went to this pub to see live rock bands a few weeks ago and had a fabulous time. The bar staff were polite and attentive. No cask ales or decent cider, just the normal variety of popular lagers and bitters. I probably wouldn't go there on unless there was live music but it's an ok pub.

OMG what an absolutely horrible pub. We booked a family function there and I was told by the staff on arrival that the buffet had been on the table for over 4 hours. There was no way that I was serving this buffet to my guests. Never again, the beer is crap, the service is crap and if I had know it had changed hands I would never have booked our do. The staff are really unresponsive to people waiting at the bar as their Indian restaurant takes priority. Avoid this place

Lets get this place on the map!

Karaoke is every Thursday (courtesy of me) and its a great night. Often there are live acts on Saturdays and a great jam sesson on Wednesdays. Beer is good and hours flexible. Smoking arrangements are easy with direct access to the garden from the bar with a good layout etc.

See you there!?!??!?!
