This pub is under new management and the Licencees attend local residents meetings so looks like they are here to stay and care about the locals. Newly decorated. Give this pub a chance - I have been in worse. The last guvnor although a nice chap had awful clientele who played too loud music and they parked their cars all over the pavement outside so it was more like a car lot than a pub. Residents complained to the Council and he was forced to leave. Years ago this was a good Irish Boozer but well worth a visit.

Gone steadily downhill over the years. Was a fine place to meet a few years back. Wouldnt give it the time of day now.

My mate got a blowjob in the toilets of some bird in this pub one Friday night. Now that is a Brucie if ever there was one.

Ah The British Queen.. Unfortunately my experience of visits to this establishment started in the mid 70s when I bragged to a family member that I had sneaked in for a quick pint before a Spurs game. The said same uncle then considered that he would continue the education of a young nave 16 year old by a visit to the Sunday lunchtime stripper sessions that used to take place in this era. To say that the experience had a scarring effect on one so young is an understatement and I did not visit for several years after. After a delay of many many seasons where I switched allegiance to the Olive Branch in Park Lane (not sure why, but it seemed a good idea at the time) and latterly the Gilpin Bell in the high road, have now revisited the British Queen on match days several times over the last few months when meeting colleagues at White Hart Lane station.
For my recent experiences I cannot actually better the description given by Roger B below. And frankly if it wasnt the closest pub to the station and for the reasons given below one of the few places you can guarantee to get served reasonably quickly on a match day, I see no reason to go here.
Except for the fact that on Saturdays I do feel at home here as, I am on day release and after a few plastic pints it doesnt get any better than a Chaz N Dave medley.

A rather unappealing pub in a far from glamourous setting, this purpose built estate pub pretty much has do not enter written all over it. Ironically, its somewhat rough and scary reputation usually means that this is one of the few places that you can get served prior to a Spurs match without the need to shoulder charge your way to the bar. To be honest, if you are used to pubs in rough areas then a trip to the British Queen will not prove to be as daunting as some people will have you believe although there is very little of any interest to warrant going there. The beers are standard keg / lagers, the customer base male dominated, most of who look like they are out on day release. The dcor is rather dull and run down with plain walls and a bare pine floor beneath a low partly angled ceiling. The interior features the usual run of TVs and fruit machines and also the most distorted and painfully inaudible music I have ever heard in a pub. Like virtually every other pub near the ground on match day, you can expect to hear a medley of Chas N Daves finest being suitably belted out. Im afraid thats as good as it gets.

Recently refurbished, great music nights with various DJ's and various types of music. Great, pleasent and smiling bar staff!... hard to come by these days!
Food sometimes sold...BBQ in the summer.
Friendly welcoming atmosphere.

Only ever used on match day at Tottenham, gets very busy, lots of Stone Island, Aquascutum, Burberry and Lacoste, will mean something to someone !
