Gets better and better. This has always been a lovely building, but going through a quick succession of owners left it pretty soulless. Now it is well run, has great bands, good food (and I am VERY picky with my food), welcoming and friendly staff and a good atmosphere regardless of crowd size. It has a massive car park which I always thought a bit odd - but welcomes motorbike weekenders so there is often a great view while popping out to the warm and dry smoking area. There is a good sized green lawn area with seating - and where they don't mind you eating fish & chips from across the road (with a pint!) or a Chinese from around the corner. Best venue in Werrington (vying for best pub in the village with The Plougman great pub terrible venue thanks to Tesco).

Alright for just pub crawling, the beer was good and the staff were helpful. Not a place i would make my local, but most of my friends say i am a snob. Apart from the scrote like younger drinkers, who caused trouble outside the place one night, it is ok for a quick pint.

What a lovely ambiance - a real 'oldy worldy' feeling. I was speaking to the manager, Tasha, who was very welcoming and bubbly.

The first time I visited this pub - but I will DEFINATELY come again and again!

Drinks really reasonable - the people were friendly and bar staff knowledgable and approachable.

Very nice pub in an usually old part of Peterborough. Werrington is an attractive village inside a sprawling new town. The Cock has 3 good cask ales on offer, including one rotating guest. The service is friendly, as are the locals, who are more than happy to talk about beer or the issues of the day. Lunchtime food also got the thumbs up, 2 days in a row! No evidence of hooliganism...
