please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place got taken over a couple of years ago and it has improved significantly. The staff are always polite and accomodate to the little things that regulars like (I.e. their particular style of glass). There is a choice of up to 4 ales (Tetley's, Pedigree,Bombardier and a guest). Personally I wish the Black sheep they have had a guest was permanent, but that is my only criticism. The beer is kept very well and good value. Sports wise it usually shows football but if you ask for the rugby (on terestial or on Sky if not a big football game) they will always put it on for you with no fuss.

First port of call on Anorak 2009 tour on Friday 21st August. Arrived by bus from Winsford on time. Our group had 2 pints of Timoth Taylor Landlord, 1 pint of Bombadier and 2 pints of Carling Extra Cold which were all very enjoyable. Left pub to catch train to Holmes Chapel

Used to be a regular when playing for the footie team and had many a great night/afternoon sessions with the lads. Popped in a few weeks back and glad to see it's still kept the old feel to it even with the refurb. Got some tops blokes who drink there and I've known for years and really glad The Fox Elworth is back up & running. Hope it continues.

Oh and the good looking barmaids made my visit even better!

place now closed thanks to the consortium of idiots who were allegedley running the place.wot a bunch of knobs they were.blame must lie with punch taverns though, now on the market for a riddiculous price but they are asking for experianced tennants, huh sure the greedy bastards will take anyones cash and screw them on the rent

Previous owners made a rite pigs ear of this place and its a shame because its a decent boozer with good regulars, however most of these were barred which is probably why the place shut down.

Had a works xmas function booked here last night only to find the pub has now been closed, not a phone call or anything..... bastards.... another case of an inexperianced-useless landlord being given the licence to ruin a good comunity pub

all the regulars are very sorry to see gaz and colleen leave.after a fantastic 2 years at the helm we all wish both of them well and hope they have a great future doing whatever they choose, personally speaking it has been a pleasure to meet such a great couple and would like to thank gaz for all the help with all of the fundraisers for the footy and pool teams, good luck mate and hope to see you at the right side of the bar in the near future.the new owners/manager hs got a lot to live up to so good luck to them.

Live music seems to be a winner in this area, enjoyed saturday night.Having seen the entertainment it reminded me of that odd couple who won new faces in 1976,it was really funny.Trouble is they were singers and not comedians, and the decor was like that pub on life on mars

situated on the middlewich to sandbach main road, cracking boozer for many a year.however seems to be a haven for the local gipsy comunity at the moment, lacks the atmosphere the place once had.

was lucky enough to be passing on saturday, thought i would watch the football, for some strange reason there was only one person at the back where the main tv is situated and she was watching the egg chasing.on further invetigation i found twenty sweaty blokes in the pool room watching the footy on an out of focus projector screen !,seemed to be lacking organisation.how ever nice pint of bitter and the food was ok to.

Very friendly pub with great staff, however, its like going to a 'Kojak' convension when you walk into the back bar, perhaps they should start selling lolly pops..... who loves ya baby!
